books have been translated and printed in persian, among them is
Allāmeh Khoei`s
»Bayān dar
Tafsir-e Qur`an«.
By settling
research groups, publishing more than 125 book titles, producing
information bank, presenting different softwares, reinforcing
Zakhair site and cultural support of other libraries and
institutions, the Majma` Zakhair Eslami`s activities is as follows:
Research Groups
These groups are
working separately as follows:
1)
Research
Group of Arabic and Persian Texts and Index Making.
A lot of Majma`s or other
institution`s published books, in the beginning of research on
manuscripts, correction steps, reading the samples and index making
have been accomplished by Majma`s scientific cadre. In order to

Manuscript and Lithograph Catalogue Writing Group:
By compiling and
publishing more than 100 volumes of manuscripts` Catalogue, Majma`
Zakhair has been Pioneer of composition and publication of
manuscripts` Cataloguing in Iran during recent years. Many libraries
inside and outside of Iran, are full of manuscripts which are not
introduced to the world of science and Research. Majma`Zakhair via
the cooperation of the best contemporary cataloguing writers of
Iran, engaged in providing Catalogue in Persian or Arabic.
Majma` Zakkhair is
ready to provide a catalogue of manuscripts of inside libraries and
then by cooperation of that library publish it.
Lithographed books
will be cataloged if their number were remarkable then they would be
published via collaboration of that library.
Majma` Zakhair
declares its readiness to prepare catalogues of foreign libraries
under special conditions. Foreign libraries correspond with

Reading
Document Group:
Collection holders who
interested in arranging, reading and printing their historical and
royal documents can take an action with coordination of the
institution at
document@Zakhair.com.
Till now, the collection of documents of cities such as Ashtian,
Yazd, Bidgol, Kashan, Esfahan, Qum, etc have been finalized and
printed in about 10 volumes.
Digital Library
During current year
one of the important and expanding activities of Majma` Zakhair –
has been providing digital photos from manuscripts, documents,
lithographed, rare books, old texts and the complete works of poets,
via cooperation of public and private libraries, a precious
collection has been gathered in the institution. Taking photo is
done in the environment of that library. One version for the library
and one for Majma`.
The list of these photographed
books will load on the site of Majma` gradually, and on subject and
title are accessible via simple of advanced search, Direct order of
scholars on Internet would be answered by copies of software files,
whether inside the country or abroad. In order to have cooperation

Producing Books (Majma`
Zakhair Eslāmi`s production)
One of the most
important activities of Majma` is research, compile and publishing
Islamic books on different feilds grounds. From the beginning of
establishment of this center in 1974, Majma` Zakhair Eslāmi has
endeavored to print several books lithographically.
Although in present
time, printing these books do not seem to be so important, but in
that time, it was really useful for scholars and religion
researchers; and since it was not available to public and their
quick research was not possible so printed lithographically. Books
like as: Madārek Al-Ahkām Tabātabaei, Hāshiat Al-Makāseb Ākhūnd
Khorāsāni, Hāshiat Al-Makāseb Qaravi, Al-Mo`tabar & Mokhtasar Al-Ahkām
Mohaqeq Helli.
Zakhair`s site

is to introduce productive-investigative and published works of the
institution as well as make information about manuscripts, and
communicate with libraries and cultural institutions.
The site
constituted of various sections, in addition to introducing the last
issued of the institution, trying to be as a link between cultural
institutions, libraries, authors and publishers. From among
different abilities of the site, the following issues can be
mentioned.

It is very
intolerable waiting for the distribution of your printed book. If

Considering preferences and
abilities, Majma` Zakhair is ready, via free propaganda in case of
publishers and writers who work in the domain of old texts, to
perform some parts of delivering information of this important area.
Private or public libraries by sending relevant information of their
activities could be placed in this section. Sent issues should be
typed in Word or Zarnegar along with their sample pictures. For

OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Holding Specialty
Sessions
In order to
establish diligence to manuscripts and taking the best advantages of
specialists and to deliver their information and experiences into
searchers and scholars, Majma` Zakhair Eslami tried to hold
specialty sessions around those issues considering manuscripts.
The first session
entitled:
»difficulties
of manuscripts`s cataloguing«
was held in 3 (25 august 2005). In this session a group of
manuscript searchers and text-knowing men presented their views
about the issue. Second session allocated to
»manifestation
of art in Quranic manuscripts«.
The subject of third session was
»doing over
searching texts twice«
and the fourth session named
»library and
investigative softwares
«.
Manuscripts` School
The main goal of
establishing this school which began its classes from November 2005
is to train human forces for the sake of cataloguing manuscripts and
lithographed books, document recognition, document reading, the way
of research of old texts, recognition of manuscripts` history, the
method of utilizing library softwares and other sites relevant to
manuscripts, acquaintance with artistic decoration of manuscripts,
pathology of manuscripts and other subjects, Outstanding experts and
great masters in different specialty areas are invited and it is
hoped during less than a year a number of those interested in this
course would be trained.
Instructing digital
photography
Considering
expanded reception of modern technology and acceleration of new
methods in photography of manuscripts, Majma` Zakhair has declared
its readiness to instruct photography to scientific-investigative
centers. The expert cadre of Majma`, in the middle of 2005 made an
effort to instruct technical cadre of Iran-Pakistan institute of
Persian Studies in Islamabad.
Exchanging
Electronic Texts and Products
In order to make
popular and also take the best advantages of information sources in
different libraries, Majma` Zakhair Eslami in addition to
presentation of its products, exchanges books and electronic texts.

Specialty Library
for Researchers` Enjoyment
Although the number
of specialty sources gathered till now are not suitable being
presented as an specialty library but also Majma` Zakhair by
ever-increasing efforts tries to develop the number of source books.
It is hoped that this library would be in access of different
researchers in near future. About the quality of presenting the
texts, some programmes are considered which have no (or less)
precedence in Iran till now.
Compilation of
Persian articles` collection
The work of
contemporary great Iranologist, Professor Iraj Afshar
»Majmoo`e
Maqālāt Fārsi«
(Persian Articles` Collection) is a magnificent work which should be
completed by his own emphasis.
On this basis,
Majma` Zakhair has took an action to collect Iranian Persian
publications and compiling the catalogue of their articles and it is
hoped to be provided an up-to-date and useful collection with
cooperation of cultural centers and institutions.
Repairing and
recovering of books and documents
Repairing of
manuscripts, artistic works and historical documents not only
enhances its material value but also it is revival and protection of
a great heritage. All whose old texts need to be repaired, may
contact to Majma`.
Delegation
Majma` Zakhair as an exclusive
representative presents the published books of, Iran-Pakistan
institute of Persian studies – Islamabad, and performs – with
limited responsibility – the order of providing books and CD from
the institute of studies in or form of corresponding or verbally.
Furthermore, the exclusive representative of presenting the printed
catalogues of the Islamic Heritage Revival Center and providing a
copy of its manuscripts is upon Majma`s responsibility. To get more
